bedrooms and a ground floor with one bedroom, sleeping up to 7. It
is situated in the posh villa area 5-10 minutes by car (10 Euros by taxi)
from the centre of Funchal. The top apartment, with its classical
decoration, has a terrace with view to the sea and over the garden. The
more modern decorated bottom apartment has direct entrance to the garden
from the lounge and bed room. There are possibilities for barbecuing,
relaxing in the garden with its pond and just enjoying life. |

Situated on the island’s south east coast snuggling between a valley and
a bay, Machico was the first settlement on the island when João
Gonçalves Zargo landed in the bay in 1419. Although designated as
the second city of Madeira, it is really a large town. An excellent
road infrastructure provides quick access to all parts of the island. Madeira
International Airport is only 10 minutes drive, and the capital Funchal,
can be reached in 20 minutes using the fast new dual carriageway. This
provides a unique opportunity to live away from the traffic and noise of
the capital, yet be within easy each of it. Properties of this size with
such a large plot of land would cost substantially more money in Funchal.
