the Spanish border and the med, ideal for anytime of year. A converted
fruit barn, in the centre of a working village just outside Perpignan,
close to the Spanish border, Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. The barn has
been converted to the highest standards and with two double bedrooms and
a large convertible sofa it can sleep up to six adults, the accommodation
is on three floors and not suitable for the very young or elderly. |

| Approximately
half-way between Carcassonne and Narbonne, this is a renovated village
house (sleeps up to 6), built in the medieval Minervois town of Rieux,
with outer walls 1000 years old. The house is made up of two adjoining
houses which have been converted into a single property. It is comfortable
and thoroughly insulated, to make it cool in summer and cosy in winter
(with electric heating). The house is fully furnished with a kitchen/diner/living
room, with single sofabed, a large fridge-freezer, oven, kettle, etc. There
are three bedrooms, two of which have a double bed and one with twin beds.
In the lounge there is a DVD player, portable CD/cassette/radio, and a
TV with satellite channels. |

hillside this was formerly the house of the Mining Engineer. The apartment
is on one level and has ground floor access (on the left, road side) but
becomes a first floor with great views by the time you reach the terraces.
The 'chimney' structure on the largest terrace is a BBQ, or an open fire
for Autumn /Winter evenings ! (Great for apres-ski as well!). In combination
the two terraces have space of 45 sq metres, bigger than a studio in themselves!
These two front terraces look over the gardens to the old centre of the
village of Vernet Les Bains and Mount Canigou beyond it. This is a place
to rest without feeling cut off. |

and a railway station, as well as a good variety of shops and several bar/restaurants.
From here you can catch the train to Perpignan or, in the opposite direction,
to the fortified town of Villefranche-de-Conflent, from where you can take
the ‘ Little Yellow Train’ high up into the Pyrenees. |

Maison de Village, in a village on Le Canal du Midi close to Mediterranean
Beaches, and between Massif Central & Pyrenees. We have a stone built
house in a typical southern French Village where the atmosphere is calm
and friendly - a wonderful place to wind down. Our house has exposed beams
on the top floor and lots of natural woodwork. It is tiled throughout and
equipped to a high standard. We have tried hard to make it as comfortable
as possible because it is not just a holiday home but also our home. |
